These Terms explain how Find My Story may be used, what readers can expect, and the responsibilities that help protect readers and Secondhand Stories.
Find My Story is meant to be a fun and thoughtful way to discover books. We work hard to make the Service useful, but reading is personal and recommendations are suggestions—not promises. These Terms are written in plain English whenever possible so that normal readers can understand the agreement.
The arbitration section affects legal rights, including the right to go to court or participate in a class action. Please review it carefully. A 30-day opt-out option is provided.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Cynthia Mechsner, doing business as Secondhand Stories("Secondhand Stories," "we," "our," or "us") concerning your access to and use of Find My Story by Secondhand Stories.
These Terms apply to the Find My Story website, Android application, iOS application, account features, recommendation tools, reading features, memberships, subscriptions, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, selecting "I agree," purchasing a membership, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account, purchase a membership, or use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of another person, household, business, or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that person or entity.
These Terms are intended to describe the Service honestly and provide reasonable legal protections. They are not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney. Because arbitration, subscription, consumer, and international laws can change, professional review before launch or as the business grows is strongly encouraged.
